MIDDLETOWN – SUNY Orange students who work at Amazon, which has a large fulfillment center in the Town of Montgomery, can have their tuition and industry certifications paid for by the company.

College President Dr. Kris Young said Amazon’s Career Choice program is an education benefit that empowers employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere.

“It’s with corporate level Amazon. Now that any individual that works for Amazon at one of their distribution centers across the United States can selection SUNY Orange here in Middletown and Newburgh and school they wish to attend and take credit courses and Amazon will pay for their associate’s education at SUNY Orange,” she said.

Employees must have worked for the company for 90 days to participate in the program.
