KINGSTON – The Golden Hill project to develop 164 units of intergenerational, affordable mixed-income housing has won the final approvals of the Kingston City Planning Board.

The agency granted site plan and special use permit approval Monday night, concluding months of discussions and fine-tuning of the project, which will include six buildings, one of which will include a daycare center, said planning board Chairman Wayne Platte, Jr.

“The complex will reserve a portion of the housing for special needs populations including victims, survivors, of domestic violence, and frail and elderly seniors,” he said.

Ulster County owns the property upon which the facilities will be constructed by Pennrose NY
