Police now say Yessica Lopez is missing under ‘suspicious circumstances’

NEW WINDSOR – Police are now saying the disappearance of Jessica Lopez, also known as Yessica Lopez, is under “suspicious circumstances.”
Investigators have now determined that she was last seen at Windsor Motel on Route 9W in the Town of New Windsor in the early morning hours of November 3. The City of Newburgh woman’s car, a silver 2005 Toyota Camry with NY license plates JDC9597, was later located by police at Showtime Cinema on Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh.

Police are asking for the community’s help in determining where her car traveled on Sunday, November 3 before it was parked at the movie theater.

Anyone who saw the vehicle between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on November 3 is asked to call New Windsor Police at 845-565-7000.

The Police are also asking local businesses and homeowners to review their security camera footage during that timeframe to see if her vehicle happens to be on the video.

Police have followed up over 200 leads in the search for the missing woman. They have also conducted extensive ground, air and water searches in the northern New Windsor area and the City and Town of Newburgh.

Assisting New Windsor Police in the investigation are State Police, Town and City of Newburgh Police, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center, State DEC Police and forest rangers, DEA, Orange and Putnam County sheriff’s offices, Westchester County Police and the Ramapo Search and Rescue.
